Online Order FAQ 

Can I order my textbooks online and pick them up at the bookstore?

Yes, but please allow approximately 3-5 business days from the time you made your order for it to be processed. WE WILL SEND AN ORDER STATUS UPDATE EMAIL WHEN YOUR ORDER IS READY TO BE PICKED UP. Please bring a copy of the ‘ready for pickup’ email, and a picture ID to the customer service desk. We appreciate your business!

Q. I ordered some textbooks online, but not all were shipped. Where are my textbooks?

If any textbooks that you ordered were no in stock they were not shipped. Any book that is out of stock in store is also out of stock online. Books that are on back ordered are filled as soon as they come in to the store and you will receive an additional email when they are processed. If they books are being shipped through UPS they will be shipped once processed.

Q. I ordered Textbooks and had them shipped to another LCCC campus, when can I pick them up?

Any textbooks sent out through the dropships are picked up when a staff member is able to collect them, normally around 1 to 2 times a week, depending on their schedules. When dropship orders are picked up you will receive a call from that location to let you know. Drop Ship orders are not delivered directly to a home address.
Our system will automatically send an email saying your order is ready to be picked up. Unfortunately it is not something we can alter depending on the shipment method.

Q. Can I have textbooks shipped to my home, or out of state?

Yes.  Our shipment policy is that any order being shipped outside of Ohio must be reviewed to help protect against fraudulent orders but understand that we do have LCCC students that live outside of Ohio. If your shipping address is different than what we have on file, we will simply give you a call to confirm the shipment is going to the address listed in the shipment details.

Any orders that include technology (computers, ipads/tablets, or ipods/mp3 players have an additional shipping fee to cover additional handling charges.

Q. I am a CCP Student, can I have my textbooks shipped to my home?

CCP funds do not cover UPS Shipping. You can have the books sent to the nearest drop ship to be picked up, or shipping can be paid out of pocket. If you would like the books shipped and are paying out of pocket, please give us a call at (440)366-7515 so we can walk you through the process to insure that the whole order is not charged to a credit card.

Q. I placed an order online. When can I expect to receive my textbooks?

This depends partly on what shipping method you chose, partly on when you placed your order. The bookstores online department is only open when the store is, so there is normally no staff working over the weekends. During our rush times, when financial aid is open, orders may take anywhere between 3 to 5 business days depending on the amount of order the online staff must fulfill.

The only shipment method that will deliver your books to your doorstep is UPS ground which costs $14

Q. I ordered all used textbooks, why are there new textbooks in my order?

Q. The website showed a used price for this book, if I can’t order a used why is it there?

We fulfill orders with your ordered preference as much as we can. However, sometimes we can no longer get a book in a certain condition or the condition you want is backordered through the publishers. If this happens we will swap conditions for a textbook so we can ensure that students have the materials that they need for their classes and are not falling behind. Sometimes books will only be available in new conditions, this is most often when a book is bundled with an access code.

We list used prices for most books for the rare occurrence that we may get a book back through a sellback or return and have to mark the book as a used because of some wear and tear to it.

Q. I bought books online but I need to return them, how do I do this?

You have 2 options;

  1. You can bring the items in toCommodore Books & More.  Please bring your original packing slip and/or receipt.  All shipping charges are non-refundable.

  2. If you cannot bring the items to Commodore Books & More, please mail the item to:

When you mail your items to LCCC, please:

  • Place book in a well packed box (use packing paper/newspaper to fill extra space) to avoid damage
  • Included a copy of your schedule, a receipt, and a note requesting a refund

Items will not be credited to you until the bookstore receives the merchandise.  If you have any questions, please call (440) 366-7518.

Q. I paid for my books with financial aid and my order was canceled, why?
If there is an issue with your financial aid during the processing of your order, it will be canceled. If your order is canceled, please check your email for an explanation. If your order was canceled for any financial aid issues please be aware that the bookstores online department cannot disclose or adjust financial aid. Any questions regarding financial aid, amounts or any holds must go through the financial services department.

I am a financial aid student, and I am being asked for an account number.  What number do I use?
Anytime the system asks for your account number, enter your LCCC student number. This is the number that we will use to process your order. When using Financial Aid for a web order you must include the term code on the checkout page immediately after your student number. If the wrong term code is included payment will not be processed and your order may be canceled.

Q. How do I cancel an order (or an item)?

Q. I would like my (brother, sister, spouse etc.)  to pick up my books, what do I need to do?
If you have any special instructions (“my child/friend/spouse is picking up my book,” or delivery instructions) please put into the “Message to Send with Order” section of your order.
